Prune play before it overgrows

Why even free play here is for adults

Social casino games copy the appearance, sounds and pace of real gambling. So Glasshouse Fernery is kept for adults over the legal gambling age and is never aimed at anyone under 18. Age is asked about twice: by the banner hanging at the fernery door, and again by a tick on the notebook when you create your account.

Things Septimus will never allow to grow

• Offering gambling for real money, or promoting it.
• Handing out prizes with real-world worth.
• Selling coins, or planting in-app purchases.
• Links leading to gambling operators or affiliates.
• Countdowns or streaks designed to hurry you back.

A candid note from the old botanist

Free games are sometimes set to feel bountiful, and this one fills your can again for nothing. A real-money game does neither of those things. A good season here proves nothing about how you would fare with money at stake.

Wilting leaves to watch for

• Staying at the reels long past your intended time.
• Snapping at people when play ends.
• Spinning to hide from how you feel.
• Play crowding out sleep, your job or the people around you.
• Hunting about for a version played with real money.

Keeping play neatly trimmed

• Decide when you will stop before the first reel turns.
• Keep autoplay off and turn each reel yourself.
• Walk out among the ferns for a break, often.
• Clearing this site’s data turns every room back to bare soil, and blocking the site in your device settings shuts the fernery door for good if that is your wish.
